Acupuncture Can Help Improve Sperm Quality in Infertile Men
In recent years its become common knowledge that fertility can be a problem in both genders. Whilst the focus has been on women for a long time, men are now receiving some attention. The fact is, male fertility is dropping at quite a dramatic rate, and there are few therapies that Western Medicine can offer to help.
Many studies though performed over the years, have shown that Acupuncture is quite effective in improving a male’s sperm quality. Past research has shown that almost 50% of miscarriages involved a male with a high amount of abnormal sperm. This makes sense as both partner’s energy has to be strong to sustain a new life.
Male fertility is most commonly affected by poor lifestyle such as excess alcohol, smoking or the use of recreational drugs. This all tax the Kidney’s energy and fertility suffers. Age is also becoming a factor as men are leaving it later in life to have kids, the same as women. The one benefit though is a man’s sperm is constantly being recycled and rejuvenated, whereas a women is born with all the eggs she’ll ever have. This often means that with regular Acupuncture and a good lifestyle, a man can see an improvement in sperm quality in a matter of months.
