Clinic Information

32 Clyde Rd Berwick 3806

This clinic was formerly “Dr Pier Tsui-Po’s Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine Clinic”. Dr. Pier has been my teacher and mentor for over 20yrs.  He retired from clinical practice in January 2017. I have taken on the responsibility of looking after his clinic and patients.

Having learned from Dr. Pier for many years, I practice my Acupuncture in the same manner in which he does. By taking over his clinic I endeavour to uphold the same high standard of health care he has set.

After having formerly run my own clinics in Camberwell and Parkdale for nearly 10yrs, I moved my Acupuncture clinic to Berwick in April 2016. In July 2023 I have moved to a larger premise at 32 Clyde rd.

Parking is available on-site at back of the clinic.  Go up the drive and park in one of the designated spots at the rear of the clinic. There is disabled parking at the front of the building on the left as soon as you enter the driveway.  The clinic has Wheelchair access.

We offer our services to all of South East Melbourne.  Many of our clients come from near and far for the health benefits of Acupuncture.  If you live locally in Narre Warren, Dandenong, Beaconsfield, Pakenham and Cranbourne. Or nearby in Traralgon, Gippsland and Warragul, please feel free to call the clinic to help with any health concerns you many have.

Why Visit my Berwick Acupuncture Clinic?

I established my pain relief and digestive disorder IBS clinic to provide Traditional Acupuncture to Berwick residents and those from the surrounding suburbs. I combine my knowledge of Chinese Medicine, with the philosophies gained through 20+ years of Kung Fu to provide treatment plans for my patients to help ease their pain. This often combines Acupuncture with lifestyle advice and stretching techniques which they can do easily at home or work.  In Martial Arts and Chinese Medicine, health is all about maintaining movement and flow. It is the stagnancy creeping in to our daily lives that causes illness and pain.

In the area of digestive health, Bloating and IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) are the most common complaints I see. Our hectic modern lifestyle is not always conducive to healthy eating or good sleeping patterns. Combined with elevated stress and an abundance of junk food, it is no wonder people are developing food allergies to gluten, suffering constant bloating and even developing diabetes. By helping patients cope with some of the symptoms of IBS like bloating and pain, they can make some positive life changes to improve their overall health and well being.

The third side of my practice is helping patients with anxiety and stress symptoms. Excessive emotions such as worry and frustration can greatly impact on your quality of life.  By helping ease these symptoms, patients can hopefully cope with daily stresses better, so they can then look after themselves and improve their quality of life.

I have many clients in the surrounding suburbs of Narre Warren, Dandenong, Beaconsfield, Pakenham and Cranbourne. Patients come to us from as far as Taralgon, Gippsland and Warragul.

I am registered in Acupuncture with all the Private Health Insurance funds, so you can receive on the spot rebates, and only pay the gap.

Acupuncture Consultation Information

I have modelled my clinic on the type of patient/Doctor setting which has worked for centuries. One on one consultations with the same practitioner, with time allocated to answer any questions or concerns you may have. There is no mysticism behind Chinese Medicine, it is scientific, but in its own way. It has its own framework and theory which has stood for over 1000 years. I do my best to dispel these myths to my patients, so they can better understand the mechanism behind Acupuncture. I find this not only helps patients relax, but also gives them a new perspective on their health and life in general. The philosophy behind the medicine can also be applied to all facets of health and well being.

During the initial consultation, we will documented your medical history and examine your tongue and pulse to gain a better understanding of your overall health.  This helps us devise a treatment plan and ascertain how and why this ailment has occurred. Once this is done we then make you comfortable on the treatment table and begin the Acupuncture treatment. The needles are always retained for 20 minutes and whilst they are in place, you can close your eyes and relax to let the treatment take effect.

A standard consultation follows a similar path though we do not need to review your complete history, we assess changes since your last treatment and adjust accordingly.  You then receive an Acupuncture treatment with the needles being retained for 20 minutes.

"Let's work together to make TODAY the first day of your new healthier life."
