No such thing as “healthy Obesity”
A study performed in London over 20yrs has concluded that “Healthy Obesity” is a myth. What this means is that for people who are overweight, but appear healthy in cholesterol tests etc, show it is only a phase. At some point, if they don’t improve their lifestyle, their health will decline.
This information will hopefully help act as a wake up call for those people thinking they can still be healthy and overweight. The truth is 3 in 5 Australians are obese, which is worrying.
What needs to be clarified is no one expects you to be buff or have a perfect bikini figure, that is not required. But you do need to be within 5-10kg of the ideal weight for your height and age to ensure long term health. All that is required is a decent diet and some regular exercise. You don’t have to eat organic or have a restricted diet, nor do you need to run 50km a week, but you have to do something!
